    New Delhi, sept.8 ANI: India remains committed to a just and transparent multilateral trading regime and is in favour of continuing the Doha Round of trade negotiations, said Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Industry,on Monday.Kumar, however, stated that New delhi could not be expected to carry a disproportionate burden for the difficulties in negotiations. Interacting with a delegation led by Andrew Cahn, Chief Executive, UK Trade and Investment, Richard Lambert, Director General of Confederation of British Industries and Karan Billimoria, President, UK-India Business Council, here today, he stressed on further expanding the Indo-British collaboration in trade and investment. The delegation congratulated the Government of India's efforts for the successful negotiation of the deal in Vienna and the clear waiver for Indo-US Nuclear Agreement in NSG. It also informed Kumar that the UK Office of Nuclear Development Programe was being set up to ensure effective nuclear supply chain and the British Industries would like to collaborate with Indian industries for the same. Cahn hoped that the process of economic reforms will be speeded. Kumar further assured the high-powered delegation that India is looking to enlarge and diversify the scope of business collaborations with medium and high technology British firms across a wide spectrum of Industries. He further assured the delegation that the government remains committed to reforms, especially in the banking and insurance in addition to encouraging cooperation in infrastructure and defence sectors within the framework of its policies.     New Delhi, Sept 8 ANI: Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jeichi, who is on a three-day visit to India, met Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh soon after his arrival in New Delhi on Monday.Jeichi who began his India visit with an overnight stay in Kolkata met West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and expressed Beijing's keen interest in making investments in various fields in India including infrastructure building.The Chinese Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart later in the day.During his talks in New Delhi the Indian leadership is expected to convey its disappointment over Beijing's stand at the recent Nuclear Supplier's Group NSG meet at Vienna for granting clean waiver to New Delhi's nuclear trade.Beijing's 'anti-India' stand at Vienna surprised New Delhi especially after Chinese President Hu Jintao and Prime Minister Wen Jiabao had assured Dr. Singh during his China visit that their country would take a constructive stand on the issue.The 45-member NSG meeting in Vienna on Saturday adopted a one-off waiver proposed by the United States allowing atomic business with India even though it has not signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty NPT and has tested nuclear devices.Soon after his arrival Yang inaugurated the Chinese Consulate General in the city.In May, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the Indian Consulate General in Guangzhou city in south China's Guangdong State.Trade between the world's two most populous countries doubled in the past two years to 38.6 billion dollar in 2007.
